Original Jewelry and Fine Miniatures by Julie Stevens

About Me

Miniatures and jewelry have been a big part of Julie’s life for as long as she can remember. For many years she has been making scale miniatures in porcelain and now she also makes them in silver, brass and wood. Today, she also designs and creates original jewelry. For the most part her jewelry is made from silver, although she sometimes uses brass or copper depending on the character of the piece.

Julie is a member of the International Guild of Miniature Artisans (IGMA), and in 1997 was awarded Artisan member status in the category of Ceramics.  She served on the Board of Trustees from 2002 until 2008. In 2011 she attained Artisan member status in the category of Metalwork.  Julie attends classes at Guild School which are held every year in Castine, Maine.  She owes many of her newfound metalwork skills to classes taught there by Pete Acquisto, Diane Almeyda and Bill Robertson. She also thanks Alison Lee for her metalwork classes held closer to home, and to all the wonderful instructors who have held invaluable workshops on the East Coast.

Julie lives in New Jersey with her husband, three dogs and four parrots. The parrots were the inspiration for her business name and also for many of her miniature porcelain parrots, so she thinks they have earned the right to have their photos here!

And, due to popular demand, here are photos of our three dogs!
